Gearhead Country Rising Star – Trinity Bradshaw
From Summerside PEI
EP REVIEW for Gearhead Country – Ian Rome
Trinity Bradshaw, will be releasing her sophomore EP, Open Skies, on June 17. The EP features her single, Never Drinking Again which is now playing on Country radio across Canada. In support of the release, the PEI native will perform across Alberta and Ontario this summer including shows at The Calgary Stampede and Boots & Hearts Music Festival
Trinity Bradshaw is new , fresh and , fun . This EP is filled with some great songs . Starting with Never Drinking Again , which strikes a resounding chord , a statement that I am sure many of us have uttered , and makes one think of a night when you might have had one too many . The next song In The Middle of Us , is beautifully crafted , and is sure to be a hit on Country Radio .One of those morning feel good songs that just makes you smile , and think about the one you love .
The surprise of the EP is the cover of the John Waite classic Missing You . Very well done .
Trinity’s adaptation is fresh , and transitions to country extremely well .
We cant forget the fun , Guns Don’t Kill Good Men ( Love Does ) well worth a listen , and a true Gearhead Country song with attitude . Check out the video link below .
Open Skies was recorded at the world-famous Blackbird Studios in Nashville (Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift, Dixie Chicks) with all-star session players Chad Cromwell (Neil Young, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert), Tim Marks (Taylor Swift, Jewel), Russ Pahl (Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan) and Russ Broom (Jann Arden).
Looking for what’s new , and fresh , and lots of fun
make sure you check out Open Skies , By Trinity Bradshaw

Deric Ruttan – Main Street 1979
Country singer-songwriter Deric Ruttan explains the idea behind his hit single, “Main Street, 1979.”
“Main Street, 1979” started with me picking up my guitar during a quiet moment, sitting by myself at home. It started with that guitar part and a mood, and the song came slowly. I’d pick it up and put it back down periodically, working at it over the course of a few months. Even though I thought the idea of writing a song about the things kids see from the backseat of their parents’ car was a pretty relatable idea, at some point I made the decision to write the song “just for me,” meaning I wasn’t writing it from a standpoint of wanting it to be “commercial” necessarily. It is the most personal song I’ve ever written and chosen to record – there is a lot of specific detail in it that is true to my life – literal places and people that populated my life in Bracebridge, Ontario, as I was growing up. When I recorded it, I had no intention of it being a single, it was just a song that meant something to me that I thought deserved to be heard. I’ve been flattered that so many who’ve heard it have heard their own stories reflected in the lyrics – in my opinion, there is no greater compliment for a songwriter.
