Your Host Mechanic – Ian Rome

Ian Rome grew up on the music of the Eagles, Allman Brothers, Thin Lizzy and Bruce Springsteen. He has been involved with the Country Music industry since 1997 with his first trip to Nashville.

Ian is a Licensed Electrician, Traffic System Technician, Auxiliary Police Officer, Singer Songwriter and Guitar player.

Ian is the Founder of the Rusty Nuts Car Club, which has Chapters in Holland Landing, Lindsay Ontario, Red Deer Alberta, Florida, and in Cuba. The Rusty Nuts are known for their Humanitarian work and Tool Drives for the car guys of Cuba .

Ian is the former caretaker of CMT Canada’s Dukes of Hazzard General Lee.  He has also had many cars over the years and currently has 3 cars, his 1956 Chevy 210 post coupe, a 1981 El Camino SS Royal Knight, both of which he has owned over 20 years, and a 2007 Chevrolet HHR Custom Gearhead Country Cruiser.

Ian is a member of the Canadian Country Music Association, The Nashville Songwriters Association , and SOCAN.  Ian loves song about cars, hot rods, road trips, car shows, the beach, and the hobby of building cars.
